About
ARISE Sexual Assault Services provides free emergency services for individuals who experience sexual assault in and around Quay, De Baca, Roosevelt, Curry, Harding, and Union counties.
We operate a 24/7 helpline as well as provide community education to prevent sexual assault. ARISE employs several licensed therapists to benefit the mental health of clients impacted by sexual assault. We employ four SANE nurses who perform sexual assault nurse exams at various satellite locations or at our main office in Portales, NM. Education/Prevention services are available either at our physical office or the requesting organization's location.
100 percent of our funding is used to carry out our mission of ending sexual violence in our communities. All of the services mentioned above are free to the community.
Arise does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability in the delivery of services or employment.
Services
Advocacy Hotline
Arise operates a 24/7 crisis hotline. Callers can speak with an advocate who can provide support, connect them to an Arise SANE nurse or therapy services, or make appropriate community referrals. Our building is closed on all Federally recognized holidays, but the hotline is available 365 days a year!
Counseling
Our counselors focus specifically on sexual trauma issues and work with the many areas of life in which sexual trauma can impact. Counselors offer trauma-informed services, emotional support, and a respectful and confidential environment. Counseling services are also available for friends and family of survivors.
SANE Exams
Following a sexual assault or domestic violence incident, a SANE nurse can provide a physical exam for evidence collection and for the wellbeing of the survivor.
Community Outreach
Arise offers many opportunities for community education and interaction. Our goal is to educate everyone within our reach about how to end sexual violence in Eastern New Mexico! Contact our Outreach Advocate for additional information!
